Rabbi Michael Cohen

Rabbi Michael Cohen has been a faculty member of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies since its doors opened in 1996, as well as on the faculty of Bennington College in Vermont. He teaches courses on conflict resolution and the environment, and is an active member of the Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP). Cohen, the rabbi emeritus of the Israel Congregation in Manchester Center, Vermont, is the author of numerous articles and publishes a monthly commentary on the Torah reading of the week in the Jerusalem Post, and also writes a regular column covering issues and topics pertaining to American society. He is the author of "Einstein's Rabbi: A Tale of Science and the Soul."  Cohen co-founded the Green Zionist Alliance and  serves on the Board of Trustees of Jerusalem Peacebuilders.
