Hanan Alsanah
Hanan Alsanah is a Bedouin activist, attorney, and social entrepreneur working with Itach-Maaki - Women Lawyers for Social Justice. She has been working for women's rights for the past two decades, with an emphasis on Bedouin women’s empowerment. Hanan has served as co-director of the Negev Coexistence Forum for Civil Equality, director of education and community development at Sidreh, and established the first women’s community center in an unrecognized Bedouin village in the Negev. She also established the first feminist Arabic Language Newspaper in Israel, distributed to over 45 villages in the Negev. In October 2023, Hanan co-founded with Shir Nosatzki The Joint Jewish-Arab Emergency Relief Center which provides humanitarian relief parcels and services to Jewish and Arab families who were harmed by hostilities.
