Kinney Zalesne is the General Manager of Responsible Growth Strategy at Microsoft. She is also Microsoft’s point-person for its Racial Equity Initiative. Prior to joining Microsoft, Kinney ran Zalesne LLC, a consulting practice focused on CEO positioning. Her clients included CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and social entrepreneurship organizations. Kinney served as a senior strategist on Hillary Clinton’s 2006 New York Senate re-election and her 2008 presidential bid. During that time, Kinney co-wrote (with Mark J. Penn) the New York Times bestselling book Microtrends: The Small Forces Behind Tomorrow's Big Changes. Kinney also served as Counsel to Attorney General Janet Reno, and as a White House Fellow with Vice President Al Gore.
